The MWA Team was thrilled to spend the day with the Maryland Therapeutic Riding Center, an organization which uses the healing and therapeutic power of horses to improve the balance, strength, muscle tone, self-image, self-confidence, and quality of life for individuals with special needs. Their equine programs help people to heal physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
We enjoyed a tour of the facilities, and spent the day cleaning and setting up for MTR’s annual Derby Day event. From unloading and setting up tables, cleaning barns, and grooming the fields and arenas, we were happy to pitch in anywhere we could be of service!
