We were pleased to spend the day with the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins, which accommodates up to 15 families each night and provides an average of 2000 overnight stays each month to families from every state in the U.S. and over 82 countries worldwide. It serves as the national model for pediatric hospital housing and provides families with a network of support while they face conditions surrounding their child’s life=threatening illness.
We had a great time touring the facility and spent the day cleaning and baking cookies for incoming/outgoing guests. We cleaned guest rooms and sanitized top-to-bottom so that they were ready for new guests. As well as baking cookies, we cleaned the shared kitchen. The Believe in Tomorrow House relies largely upon volunteers, and it was a privilege to be of service!
