Peter Maller, MBA, CFP®, AEP® is the Founder and President of Maller Wealth Advisors, Inc. headquartered in Hunt Valley, MD. Peter has over 25 years of experience in the financial planning industry and specializes in working with successful business owners, professionals and high net worth individuals throughout the United States.
Peter has been named the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017 Lincoln Financial Network (LFN) Planner of the Year1. As a record-breaking nine-time winner, Peter has been honored with this distinction more than any other planner in Lincoln’s 100+ year history. Peter has been named among Barron’s Top 1200 Advisors for 2016 and 20172, as well as The Daily Record’s 2016 “Most Admired CEOs.” 3 Additionally, his firm, Maller Wealth Advisors, was named as a 2015 and 2016 winner of Inc Magazine’s Top 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America,4 and recognized as one of Baltimore Magazine’s Five Star Professionals for a sixth year.5 He was recognized in the August 2011 issue of Registered Rep. magazine as one of America’s Top 100 Independent B/D Advisors (#18).6 Peter is also a qualified member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table and has achieved “Top of the Table” status, ranking him in the top half of 1% in the industry.7
He completed his undergraduate degree at Washington College, graduating magna cum laude and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Florida State University. A two-time collegiate tennis All-American, Peter continues to be an active member in the Maryland athletic community.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional having earned his designation through the College for Financial Planning and is certified as an ACCREDITED ESTATE PLANNER® Designee by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He is FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 registered and Life, Accident and Health insurance licensed.
Peter is deeply committed to and involved with many local charities and board of director positions. Through his commitment to giving back, MWA has supported over 100 charities, both locally and nationally, including aiding the research for epilepsy, cancer, and Alzheimer’s, animal rescue, and feeding and providing services for the homeless.
Peter currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, the Board of Trustees at Garrison Forest School, the Washington College President’s Leadership Council, and the Parents’ Council at Miami University of Ohio. His past community involvement includes the Board of Trustees at Baltimore Medical System, the first lead Sponsor of the Baltimore Youth Symphony Orchestra, and a Leadership Corporate Member of the Maryland Zoo. For 2016 and 2017, Peter has been the presenting sponsor for the Stroup Kids for Kids Epilepsy cause. He also gives of his time to his alma maters. At Washington College, he has served on many different committees and was recognized for his involvement and support by receiving the distinguished Alumni Services Award. At Florida State University, he has served on the MBA Advisory Board.
